Umrah is a small pilgrimage in the Islamic tradition. Umrah is an act confirmed by the Qur'anic verse and the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh).
Umrah can be performed in twelve months. Umrah has two duties: ihram and circumambulation of the Kaaba.
When a person goes to Makkah, he can perform Umrah several times for himself, his father, mother, and relatives.
Only for each Umrah, he goes back to Miyqat, washes himself, and wears Ihram with the intention of the person for whom he is performing Umrah. For those who go to Hajj and live in Makkah, "Tan'im" (Hazrat Aisha) is considered a miyqot.
About the rules of Umrah prayer
First: It is recommended that a person who wants to perform Umrah should perform ghusl and purify himself after reaching the Miyqat.
Even women and girls, even if they are having menstruation and menstrual blood, take a ghusl and clean themselves. However, they do not circumambulate the Kaaba until the bleeding stops and they are purified by taking a ghusl. A man can put perfume on his body without touching his Ihram clothes. If it is not possible to perform ghusl in miyqat, there is no harm. Because it is recommended for him to take a ghusl before performing Tawaf when he reaches Makkah, if it is convenient for him.
Second: A man takes off all his sewn clothes and ties the izar (lungi) and rida (lungi). It is recommended that men tie a white izoor and a curtain without wrapping their heads. And women wear simple clothes without ornaments and glory - ihram.
Third: Then with his heart he intends to enter the prayer and says with his tongue: "labbayka Allahumma umratan" (Allahim, I am ready for all your rulings and I intend to perform Umratan) or "Allahumma labbayka umratan" (Allahim, I am ready for all your rulings and I intend to perform Umratan). If a person in ihram fears that he will not be able to perform his prayer due to illness, danger from the enemy, or any other reason permitted by Sharia, he makes a condition when entering ihram, "If any obstacle blocks me, that place is the place where I will leave ihram." The proof of this is the words of Zubo'a Zubayr's daughter. He said: "O Messenger of God, I want to perform Hajj, but I am sick." The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Perform Hajj." But say, "Wherever (disease) stops me, that is the place where I will come out of Ihram" (Muttafakun alaih). After putting on the Ekhram, he says the talbiya that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Labbaykal-lokhumma labbayk!" Labbayka la sharika laka labbayk! Innal-khamda van-ne'mata laka val-mulk, la sharika lak." He recites this talbiya and Allah's dhikr a lot and prays to Allah a lot. When he arrived at Masjid al-Haram, as he did in other mosques, he entered the door with his right foot and said: "Bismillah, wassolatu wassalamu ala rasulillah, a'uzu billakhil-aziim wa bi vajkhil-kariym wa sultonikhil-kadiym minash-shaitanir rajiim. Allahummaf-tak liy abbaba rokhmatik (In the name of Allah.. May peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. I seek refuge from the Great Allah, from Satan, who was driven out (from the grace of Allah) by His great face and ancient sultanate. My God, open the gates of Your grace for me!)- it is sunnah to say. Then, he is engaged in reciting talbiya until he reaches the Kaaba.
Fourth: When he reaches the Kaaba, he stops saying the talbiya and prays to the Black Stone-Khajarul-Aswad, and walks towards it and caresses it with his right hand or, if possible, kisses it. It doesn't hurt people. During stroking, he says: "Bismillahi wallahu akbar" (In the name of Allah and Allah is great) or "Allahu akbar" (Allah is great). If it is not possible to kiss, he caresses with his hand, or something similar, and kisses what he caresses. If it is not possible to caress, he gestures with his finger and says: "Allahu akbar" (Allah is great). He doesn't kiss what he's hinting at. In order for Tawaf to be correct, the person performing Tawaf must have ghusl and ablution. Because Tawaf is like prayer, but speaking is allowed.
Fifth: While performing Tawaf, care should be taken that the Kaaba is on the left side of it, and Tawaf is performed seven times. If you reach the right side - "Ruknul-Yamani", it is rubbed with the right hand and "Allahu akbar" is said. "Ruknul-Yamani" is not kissed. If stroking is not possible, Tawaf is continued without stroking: it is not gestured to and takbir is not recited. After reaching Khajarul-Aswad, as mentioned above, he is stroked, kissed and takbir is recited. If not, a sign is made to it and takbir is said. It is recommended only for men to walk quickly with small steps in the first three Tawafs during the Kudum Tawaf. In addition, it is recommended for men to put the middle of their robe under their right shoulders and both sides of it on their left shoulders in all the Shawt-times of the Kudum Tawaf. It is recommended to recite Allah's dhikr and supplications as much as possible in all Shawts. There is no special prayer or special dhikr to be recited during Tawaf. Maybe he will read the zikr and prayers he knows. Between the two pillars: "Rabbana aatina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa kinaa azaban-naar" (Our Lord, grant us good things in this world and the hereafter and save us from the torment of hell!) is said in every shavt. Because this is confirmed by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The seventh Shawt, as mentioned above, is completed by kissing or caressing Khajarul-Aswad, or making gestures and saying Takbir, if possible. After that, the curtain is closed: it is thrown over the shoulders and the ends are on the chest.
Sixth: In Makom (i Ibrahim), if he has the opportunity, he prays nikki rakat. If it is not possible, it can be read anywhere in the mosque. In its first rak'at, after the blessing, "Kafiruvn" is recited, and in the second rak'at, "Ikhlas" is recited. It is preferable to do so. There is no harm in reciting other surahs. After completing two rakats, walk towards Khajarul-Aswad and, if possible, pat with the right hand.
Seventh: Then he goes to Safo (Mountain) and climbs or stands on it. Exit is preferred.
Before starting the first Shawt, he recites the verse "Innas-Safa wal-Marwata min sha'oirillah" (Safa and Marwa (Mountains) are the places of worship of Allah) until the end. A person in Ekhrom facing the Qibla,
Saying praise to Allah: wḥdh « La ilaha illallah. Wallahu akbar, la ilaha illallahu wakhdahu la sharika lakh, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, va huwa ala kulli shay’in qadiyr. La ilaha illallahu wakhdakh, anjaza wadakh wa nasara abdakh wa khazamal-akhzaba wakhdakh" (There is no god but Allah, and Allah is great! There is no god but Allah alone, without partner, and to Him alone belongs the ownership and praise. However, He has power over all things. There is no god but Allah alone. He kept his promise, helped his servant and defeated the groups himself), he raises his hands and prays and repeats these dhikr and supplications three times. Then they walk towards Mount Marwah and when they reach the first sign, the men run until they reach the second sign. Running of women is not specified in Sharia. Because women are private parts. Then he continues and climbs the mountain of Marwa or stands in Marwa: it is better to climb the mountain. The works done on Mount Marwa and Mount Safo are done. However, the verse mentioned above is not recited. This verse is recited only on Mount Safa in the first Shawt, following the example of Rasulullah sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam. Then it descends the mountain and runs on slow, jogging ground until it reaches Mount Safo. seven Shavts are performed as follows: One Shavt is counted for going, and one Shavt for returning. In particular, if there is an urge to ride something, there is no harm. It is recommended to make many dhikr and prayers while walking. It is necessary to perform ghusl and ablution during this walk. There is no harm in walking without ablution.
Eighth: Men should shave or cut their hair short if the pilgrimage ends. scraping is preferable. If the arrival to Makkah is close to the Hajj season, it is preferable to cut the hair short. Because the rest of the hair can be shaved during the Hajj season. It is enough for women to collect their hair and cut it to a finger length or less from the ends. If the person wearing ihram performs the above-mentioned acts, the Umrah prayer ends, alhamdulillah, and everything that is haram becomes halal when he wears ihram. May Allah the Exalted make us and all our Muslim brothers successful in our religion and accept their prayers. Indeed, He is the Most Generous.
